What We Do

Building the next generation

Technology is changing the world daily; there are great innovations every day in the different spheres of life that are changing ways of doing things.

The Problem

Economies are growing because of innovation. If ours must grow, the capacity of engineering and innovation must be developed. Parts of the key finding of the next generation Nigeria task force convened by British council of Nigeria were:
Many young engineers are ill-equipped for life in modern economy. The next generation can make a large contribution to Nigeria's future but if its potential is not harnessed, it will become an increasingly disruptive force.

This is why we need to build a future where growth of engineering, science and technology will lead to high 5tech innovation that will define the next century. Let us therefore, invest in, and support the building of the next generation.

Our Method

SciEtech through this programme aims to bring stakeholders together in which decisions, programs, funding and industry participation will be developed for the growth of STI in Nigeria. We will create platform for:

discussion on issues affecting engineering and technology education practice;

Discussion on the way forward and assessment of actions taken.

Participants will be drawn from chief executive officers of private organization and education related MDAs, professional organization, regulatory organizations, institutions, international organizations and NGOs. Here is an opportunity to hold a stake in the nation's development.
Be a part of it!!!
SciEtech provide a forum for direct or indirect contact with mentors who are professionals in government, industries and in the academia. We achieve these through career development programs such as discussion groups, career fairs, seminars, workshops on different fields of Science and Engineering.
As a mentoring organization aimed at career development and mentoring in Science, Engineering and Technology, SciEtech periodically organises University Outreaches beginning with the Engineering Faculties of Federal Universities around the country. These outreaches are organised in collaboration with professional bodies like the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE). Various Director Generals will be invited to talk, encourage and boost the morale of the students
